Notes 8 Installation nicht möglich, HILFE!

    Ich will den deutschen Notes 8 Client auf ein ThinkPad installieren:


    XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, Version 2002, SP2


    Ich starte das Setup von Notes 8 und bekomme nach ca. 5 Sekunden folgende Fehlermeldung:


    "Die Aktualisierung, die Sie durchführen möchten, wird nicht unterstützt."


    Gestern habe ich Notes 8 auf einem baugleichen Notebook mit selben OS installiert.


    Und nu?

    willst du ein update machen? oder den client zum ersten mal drauf bügeln?
    bei ersterem sichere dir doch names; notes.ini usw und deinstallier mal den alten client und leg dann den neuen drauf

    Problem
    You are trying to install Notes 7 client on a system that previously had an older version of Notes installed . The installation fails with the error :
    "Error '1714: The older version of Lotus Notes 7.x cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group' when installing Notes 7.x client "


    Cause
    This problem can be caused by an registry key that remained from the previous installation .


    Content
    Using the registry monitor by sysinternals.com will show you the registry key the installer accesses in attempt to remove the old version . After removing the registry key pointing to the old version, the deinstall is skipped and Notes can be installed .
    This is a different approach to the same problem as described in 1206513.

    1. Go to command prompt of Windows and navigate to folder containing setup.exe. Then, run from command prompt:
    setup.exe /V"/Lv* C:notesdebug.log
    2. Find from log file line: RemoveExistingProducts: Application: {C1A350C0-9EDC-4F21-A75C-5609BF9523ED} (this code is only example) 3. Go to registry editor from Start-Run-regedit andRemove from registry all entries having C1A350C0-9EDC-4F21-A75C-5609BF9523ED (example)



    Einfach probieren vielleicht funktionierts ja. ;)
