folgendes Problem:
Ich habe einen Lotus Notes Account der über POP3 seine Emails abruft, aber er ruft nur die emails von heute ab und nicht die Mails davor !? Wenn ich die Mails im Outlook Express abrufe dann kommen alle !? Die Notes und Outlook Konten sind so eingerichtet, das die Mails auf dem Server bleiben.
Kann mir dieses Phenomen nicht erklären !?

folgender Hinweis findest du in der Knowledge Base:
A POP3 user connects to a Lotus® Domino® POP3 server and attempts to download new messages. The Domino POP3 server returns no new messages even though there are messages in the user's mail file that have not yet been viewed by the POP3 user. If the user opens the mail file via a Notes client or web browser, there are messages present that are not available through POP3. If the POP3 user authenticates with a different username, these messages are downloaded.
Solution
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# RANI4JC3U6; however, it was determined not to be a software problem. Domino is functioning as designed, and an enhancement request has been submitted.
Before making messages available for download by a POP3 user, the Domino POP3 server examines the mail file's Unread ID table. If a message is considered already Read for the currently authenticated POP3 user, that message will not be made available for download.
Supporting Information:
An issue can arise if a Notes process (such as API, agent, or Notes Client) updates a mail file's Unread ID table with a user's ID, marking messages as Read by that user. Later, when the same user establishes a POP3 session with the server to download new mail, the Domino POP3 server task will not make those messages accessible to that user.
The submitted enhancement request is for the POP3 server to be able to download all messages to the POP3 user, regardless of their Read or Unread status.
Ich würde als erstes mal die cache.ndk löschen. Wenn das nicht hilft, dann noch die desktop6.ndk umbenennen.

Also wir haben einen Domino Server im Einsatz wo der User ganz normal seine Emails abruft. Zusätzlich ruft er noch über Pop3 vom Client aus ein 2.Emailpostfach von einem externen Mailserver ab.
Und von diesem 2. externen Email Postfach kommen nur die heutigen Emails an.
Nun ist die Frage ob das ein Notes Bug ist oder ob das Problem beim externen Anbieter der zusätzlich noch in Frankreich sitzt.

Dem Notes Client sollte es egal sein, ob er seine POP3 Mails bei einem Domino Server abholt oder bei einem Provider im www
Die Funktionalität ist die gleiche.
Sprich => einfach mal versuchen.
